FOX apologizes for canceling Arrested Development
In a horribly long promo spot for the new Hurwitz creation Sit Down Shut Up, FOX apologizes for canceling Arrested Development, while smacking down all of the loyal fans with a badly animated ruler in the process.
After viewing the spot below, if you’ve seen the show feel free to let us know what you think in the comments below.
I couldn’t help but notice all of the awkward pauses from Bateman and friends while they were grasping for something nice to say about Hurwitz and the new show. I can fully appreciate how it’s not easy to gush all about a project which has consumed hours upon hours and the frustrations and struggles that go along with it, but FOX wasn’t even able to edit their comments down to make it convincing.
If there is a shred of the magic left over from Arrested Development in Sit Down Shut Up than it’s probably worth a watch. Luckily, they have also decided to run the show on their joint experiment hulu.com/sit-down-shut-up. Thanks FOX.
A Protest-tacular!
Tobias: Excuse me, I was just looking for a marker. A magic-marker… leaves room.
Michael: You know Gob, instead of trying to impress a father that couldn’t care less about you, why don’t you try spending some time with your son who is dying to connect with you.
Gob: Hey, he’s the one who can’t see me.
Michael: Why? Because you were too busy hiding in your trick?
Tobias: [acting as Gob] Illusion, Michael. I so very much would like to be in your prostate-ticular… As your look alike! [bows]

Gob: Right, they’re gonna see the ink. It’s more of a leading man role, but it’s not really done that way.
Tobias: Huh, I guess I shouldn’t have used a permanent marker.
Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?
